Monitoring > Air
Monitors to measure PCB levels in air were stationed during dredging upwind and downwind of activities in the Upper Hudson, and continue to be used around the perimeter of the Processing, Treatment and Transportation Facility located north of Lock 7 along the Champlain Canal.
In the river, when dredging activities ceased in a particular area, air samples were no longer collected there until dredging began again. All of the data collected by GE to assess compliance with EPA's standard for air quality was submitted to EPA on a daily basis.

A list of monitoring locations closest to that area -- represented by the green dots on the map -- will appear.
